Pedicabs
have a rich history of its existence. Pedicab is a type of public transport,
where you can carry passengers, but usually not more than two persons.
I
think it is an interesting type of transport for tourists. Owners of travel
companies use pedicabs as exotic vehicles. Pedicabs allow the traveler slowly
to see around an unfamiliar city and admire the architectural masterpieces and
historical monuments, to make stops at shops and cafes.
Usage
of conventional and low-cost pedicabs as the driving force, as well as high
floatation has made this type of transport more popular not only among
tourists, but also for those who live in large cities, where people are in a
big rush or spend time in traffic jams.
However,
pedicabs, like any other road transport, are required to undergo an annual
inspection. The driver must obey all traffic rules, signs and traffic light
signals. But at the same time a driver of pedicabs should have a strong character,
because he need be polite and punctual throughout all working day, and also he
should know streets and avenues of the city.
Despite
all the obvious advantages of such vehicles, pedicabs are suitable only to
countries with a warm climate, they can be used before winter sets in with its
full severeness.
