How to protect yourself in the
streets.
1. Never walk alone late in
the evening or late at night.
2. Never speak first to strangers in the streets.
3. If you see strange people -
choose another way.
4. Be calm. Don't be nervous. Don't show you are afraid of the stranger.
5. Never brandish any
attractive or expensive things to strangers.
6. Tell the parents where and
with whom you are going.
7. Follow the traffic rules. Don't take a lift if the driver is a stranger.
8. Avoid having conflicts with drunk people.
9. Never enter the Elevator (lift) with
strangers. If you notice suspicious people before you go to the entrance of your house, call the
family and ask to meet you. In an emergency, if you are attacked, call for help. Usually people respond faster to cries of "Fire!".
10. If you are threatened and need to give
property or money — agree!
No jewelry, items or money are not worth your
life.
Try to remember as many details as possible about the
offender: the conversation, tattoos, scars, clothing, distinguishing features,
height, colour of hair or eyes, facial features. After the robbery, be sure to
contact the police, report everything that you've managed to remember about the
criminal. Hot
pursuit has more chances of getting caught.
