Другие примеры: I expected you to know that (Я ожидал, что ты знаешь это), She expected you to come (Она думала (ожидала), что ты придешь). Да, это странно, но у английского другие правила. Хотите верьте, хотите нет, но дал перепроверить ответы знакомому носителю англ., и никаких ошибок нет.
