The Sámi are a small Northern European people.
The Sami people live in the territory of Lapland, stretching from the eastern part of the Kola Peninsula, through the north of Norway and Finland, to the center of the Scandinavian Peninsula
The Saami lived the free semi-nomadic life of the reindeer herders from time immemorial, until the catastrophes of a great civilization fell upon them: in particular, the October Revolution and the Soviet collective farms. Since then, the traditional culture of the Saami has come to an end: the usual way of life was destroyed, and far from all were able to master the new forms of farming.
