The laying of the stone on the site of the future monument to "Afghans" in the city of Gorlovka took place on February 17, 2007.
The monument to soldiers-Afghans is located on Dimitrov Boulevard from Lenin Avenue. The monument is a concrete figure of an "Afghan" sitting on a stone. At the feet of the soldier has a spring, symbolizing the ongoing life. Next to the raised stone pedestal, on which is engraved the names of 28 not returned from the war Gorlovka.
