An exhibition of children's art dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Russian writer Ivan Turgenev will open n the Krasnodar Regional Art Museum named after F.A. Kovalenko. More than 80 works by students of Krasnodar art schools will be presented to the audience.
Judging by the number of illustrations, the artists were very impressed with the plot of the story “Mumu” - the suffering of Gerasim, the cruelty of the landowner, the unfortunate fate of a small dog. The beauty of nature is vividly captured in the illustrations for the works “Bezhin Meadow” and “The Hunter’s Notes”. The themes of many drawings were based on characters from “Village”, “Quail”, “First Love”, “Asya”, “Sparrow”, “A Drop of Life”, “Faust” and others.
