"The Canterville Ghost" is a funny tale about the Ghost of the late Lord Canterville, and his misadventures, when his castle settled new owners-Americans, completely refusing to take the Ghost seriously. But the Ghost of a lot of people scared, because he always went to the kitchen and beat the meat. And here it is not only not afraid, but laughing at him! Oh, those Americans with their perverted mores. I've never read Oscar Wilde's fairy tales before and how much I've lost. But how was I to know that the author of "Dorian gray's Portrait" could write such funny stories? Terrific sense of humor, wonderful scat and fascinating story. I am delighted and recommend everyone to read, especially on the eve of Halloween
