Last Tuesday I set off for work so early that managed to meet my neighbour going out of our apartment building. He smiled to me, viewed me for a while and completely unexpectedly to me joked : "You must be left your iron plugged in ?"
When I woke up this morning, my head ached and my throat was sore, so I was rather moody, and his joke really freaked me out but I held my tongue, looked contemptuously at his dirty shoes that he probably has worn for ages and passed by him. I fell exhausted this morning because I talked to my mom yesterday and she told me of her terrible experience she had had, when the pilot of the plane she flew in from Rome couldn`t land the plane properly and she realised how lucky was she having me and my sister safe and secure on the land.
She was waving her hand at me when I was leaving my flat, she went closer to me and whispered : " Thank God you have followed your father`s footprints". I gratefully smiled to her and said softly "Thank you for being so careful mom". At this particular moment I remembered as she yelled at me when I was a boy, but I swept these mean thoughts away immediately. The streets were flooded with autumn rain, my neighbour made me cranky with his stupid jokes, but I was getting to cope with all the difficulties of the day.
When I got back home my mom was hoovering and singing along the headphones, I felt myself relieved, hushed and still, I went closer to her and hugged.
