New York- the largest city in the United States, part of one of the largest urban agglomerations in the world. The city's population is 8 405 837 people, agglomeration 20,63 million (estimate for 2015). New York is located on the Atlantic ocean in the southeastern part of the state of new York. The city was founded in the early XVII century Dutch colonists until 1664 was called New Amsterdam[7].
New York city comprises five districts (boroughs): the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and Staten island. The main attractions are located in Manhattan. Among them: the historic skyscrapers (the Empire state building, Chrysler building), Rockefeller center, Woolworth-bilding, art Metropolitan Museum of art, the Metropolitan Opera, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (painting), American Museum of natural history (skeletons of dinosaurs and planetarium), legendary hotel "Chelsea", the headquarters of the UN, Harlem.
