Viktor Vasnetsov played a major role in the development of Russian art. Viktor Vasnetsov brought Russian historical painting. He studied drawing at the drawing school of the society for the encouragement of arts in St. Petersburg. There he was trained by Ivan Kramskoy. Viktor Vasnetsov mastered his skills at the Academy of fine Arts, St. Petersburg.
