It is hot or warm. The days are long and the nights are short. There are many green trees and nice flowers in the parks and in the squares in summer. The children's don't go to school, they have got their summer holidays.

My favourite month is July and my favourite season is summer. I think it is easy to understand why. First of all, the longest school holidays are in summer. They last for three months. Secondly, the reason, why I like July more than other summer months, is that I like the sea, the sun and the heat of this month. It's the very middle of summer, when my family and I go to the seaside.Some people say that July's heat is awful, but not for me.

I really like such weather, as I get to swim and sunbathe a lot.Unfortunately, time flies quickly in July. Then comes August, the month when I start preparing for a new school year. I have to read many books in August, which were set as homework by our literature teacher. Autumn starts on the 1st of September, as well as the new academic year.
