Apple Ingredients:
6 medium sized apples peeled/cored/sliced into 1cm pieces
1/3 cup butter (cubed at room temperature) 1/2 cup flour 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 tsp cinnamon 3/4 tsp nutmeg
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and butter together, this should roughly resemble bread crumbs. Place the fruit in a large bowl and sprinkle over the sugar, 1 tbsp flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir well being careful not to break up the fruit. Butter a 24cm ovenproof dish. Spoon the fruit mixture into the bottom, then sprinkle the crumble mixture on top. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the crumble is browned and the fruit mixture bubbling. Serve with thick cream.
