I think she wanted to see the ghost from the castle. 2) She wasn't afraid in the field because it was nice and sunny afternoon. 3) I think Claire was afraid in the castle because of the silence (тишина). Also (к тому же) it was dark and cold there. And the woman may be died there. 4) I'm afraid of this story, it is a scary one. 5) I think she wanted to run away when the stone fell. 6) I think Claire returned home to her aunt.
