First of all, it doesn't seem convenient to have a television in the middle of the room. Secondly, it seems to me that your favourite armchair is out of place there. I suggest moving it closer to the wall. Then why not to put it near the carpet, so you will keep your feet warm. Finally, you could hang a bookshelf on the wall to make the room look cosier.
