Moscow
Moscow is
the head-capital city of Russia. It is in the Central Federal district of
European Russia. Moscow is located down by the Moskva-river. It has about 12
million inhabitants. Its radius is 25 kilometers, but it gets even 50
kilometers long at its’ widest. The city is 850 years old. At first it was just
a little wooden village, then it was made of white stones and today the Kremlin
of Moscow, where it all started, is beautifully red. Moscow hasn’t always been
the capital of Russia. For a certain temporary period of time Sankt-Petersburg
served as a capital of the land, since Peter the Great moved it there.
Moscow is
not only the political capital, but also a religious capital of the orthodox Christians.
Therefore Moscow has a huge amount of lovely churches with gold cupolas that
are certainly worth of visiting. By many ranks Moscow’s metro is considered to
be the most beautiful in the world, so it also is a tourist attraction. Many
parks of Moscow offer excellent places to have fun and relax for the guests and
citizens of Moscow. Moscow has nearly thousand museums. Some famous museums are
Tretyakov gallery and the Pushkin museum of fine arts. People can also see high
quality theatrical performances and ballet in Moscow.
